POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE ECSTASY – Phillip H. Tarbell was arrested Nov. 3 in New York City after allegedly trying to sell 1,800 pills of ecstasy stored in a candy box to an undercover officer – the 1,800 pills have a reported street value of $60,000. After Tarbell had initially contacted the undercover officer, they arranged to meet at the Fairfield Inn near John F. Kennedy airport. During the alleged transaction Tarbell also informed the undercover officer that he had access to additional substances and would be able to provide 3,000-4,000 pills as well as large quantities (200-300 pounds at a time) of marijuana in the future. Tarbell was arrested on a pretrial release from an arrest back on Nov. 10, 2010 after U.S. Border Patrol Officers discovered nearly 100 pounds of marijuana inside two duffle bags in his vehicle. FBI and DEA agents arrested Tarbell and he has had an initial court appearance on Nov. 4th in U.S. District Court, Brooklyn, NY. Tarbell was ordered held without bail.

DWI - Nathan S. Barnes, 23, Route 37, St. Regis Mohawk Reservation, was arrested Friday morning by state police after allegedly failing to stop at a red arrow on Route 131 in the town of Massena. His BAC was 0.15 percent, police said.

DWI - Amber Cook, 28, of 968 River Road on the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation, also was charged by state police with speeding and failure to keep right early Sunday. Her BAC was 0.16 percent, police said.

IMPAIRED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE – On November 6th, 2011 at approximately 1:08 a.m., the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service was dispatched to a call of an accident at the Angus Thomas Memorial building in Kanatakon, Quebec. Upon arrival, officers observed a Nissan Pathfinder resting on 2 wheels against the Southwest side of the building.  One male was arrested at the scene. Subject was charged with “Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle” contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code and “Drive While over 80 milligrams” contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. Subject was released on his own Recognizance. He is scheduled to attend Valleyfield Provincial Court on December 13th, 2011.
