Police Blotter

On October 10th, 2011 shortly after 4 AM, the Akwesasne Mohawk Police observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the District of Cornwall Island. Akwesasne Mohawk Police officers investigated the occurrence and found the suspect vehicle left abandoned near the shoreline on Angus Delormier Road. The abandoned vehicle was found to contain small packages of marihuana in the total amount of approximately 60 pounds. Police have not made any arrests in relation to the seizure and are continuing the investigation. The vehicle and packaging materials have been examined by a “Scenes of Crime” officer for physical evidence.
