Thomas L. Clarke, age 53, of Hogansburg. NY, died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at his home.
Born in Malone, October 11, 1957, he was the son of Francis and Amelia Boyea Clarke. He attended local schools.
Thomas was a truck driver for Trisim Trucking Co. in Joplin, MO. After returning to the Malone area, he drove truck for Gordon Perham Trucking for several years. He retired in 1998 because of his health.
He enjoyed doing mechanical and body and fender work, painting landscapes, bowling, fishing, boating, motorcycles and he built his own trike. He also enjoyed playing cards, dice, playing the guitar, building models, telling stories and jokes, cooking and barbecuing. He enjoyed feeding and helping people. Giving was his nature. He loved his elders and his dog that was his legs. He always saved some of his food from each meal for “Dog” and also treated him to McDonalds every week.
Survivors include his mother, Amelia Clarke Elkin of Malone, one son, Thomas J. Clarke of North Bangor. NY.; one brother, Leslie Clarke of Brushton; two sisters, Amelia “Mickey” Clarke of Malone and Pamelia Ennis of Henderson, NV; two nieces, Charity Hope Clarke of Constable, NYand Dawn Paturzo of Henderson, NV; one nephew, Lee Clarke of Brushton and four great nephews, Dominic and Elijah of Henderson, NV, Alex and Daniel of Constable.
Along with his father, Francis Clarke, he was predeceased by one brother, Frank “Francis” Clarke.
Funeral Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
