A Voice from the Eastern Door
In Consumer Corner the return to school has been given attention: backpacks, tips on where to buy those school supplies and saving money. This week I have reminders about looking for the best prices in and around town.
1. Wal-Mart: their quote is “they won’t be under sold”; check out their sale prices. Be sure the sign states SALE.
2. Drugstores: the drugstores are crying for customers just like the department stores, so be sure to check them out for back to school supplies, fruit cups, raisins and other snack items. You may be able to find juice boxes at a good price.
3. Dollar stores: The dollar store may have the times you need for your child or children. Remember, they do carry grocery items and you may need these items for school lunches or snacks.
4. Value Village, Salvaton Army and other used thrift stores. These stores have great prices on “new” ato you clothing and, is some cases, school supplies. No one need know where the items are purchased but you. Youcan also get great buys at a garage or alwn sale. Some items have never been worn.
Enjoy shopping around and enjoy your last days of summer vation. Happy shopping.
