She:kon, my name is Richard Sargent, and along with my of wife of 36 years, Elvera Angus-Sargent have lived in the so called “land claim” area of Ft. Covington for the past 20 years.

For the past 10 years, I have been researching old documents and the archives to find the truth of how reservation land was illegally taken by corrupt county and state officials. The findings have been correlated into an understandable narrative and time-line, and a strategy for its return has been developed.

The research shows the land was never legally sold, and has always been reservation land. So it is not a land claim, it is a matter of extortion and fraud by county and state officials who, in fact, are not protected by “sovereign immunity” for federal crimes they have committed or should be aware of.

We need your help as this is not just crimes against us, but crimes against all of us. You are invited to a gathering at our home at 81 Hopkins Point Road, Fort Covington on Saturday, August 27, at 11 am to 1 pm to discuss this new strategy. Come and let your voice be heard as we discuss this new strategy. It will be a sober, non-violent and courteous gathering. So please attend this vital meeting. Niawen ko:wa!
