Native Interns Receive Scholarships

The Education/Recruitment Department held an award luncheon on Tuesday, August 9th to present scholarships to Interns currently employed at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino and Mohawk Bingo Palace. The luncheon was held in the Maple Room Steakhouse and was attended by Directors and Managers from the Casino and Palace. The Native Internship Program honored 21 interns who are enrolled in 2 or 4 year institutions. The goal of the Native Internship Program is to provide support and encouragement for interns to stay in school and obtain their degrees by offering employment opportunities and scholarships.
