Today is August 16th and in three weeks School starts. Oh, but if you have a child starting out for college, orientation and classes can start as soon as one week away. Of course this means you are out buying school supplies and hoping to get those early sales.
This week consumer corner has some tips on the laptop computer. Selecting the laptop that suits your needs can be tough with so many names and brands on the shelves.
Here is a laptop checklist:

You can surf the web, watch and make movies and much more. With this computer all the software is easy to use. If you don’t want a headache trying to use your laptop then this is the one for you. Cost: $1000.00
Asus Eee PC 1001PXD-EU17-BK 10.1 “Netbook”: Looking for a bargain then this is the buy for you. The Asus Netbook offers 19.5 hours of battery life in a tiny 2.8 body. The Netbook provides portability with a full operating system for multitasking. Cost: $250.00
Dell XPS 15xPS15 Laptop with 2nd Gen. Intel core 17: This computer has been called the “tops” for anything visual, such as surfing the net or playing videos. The Laptop has high quality images and good speakers making it great for multi media. Into playing cards and games – this is for you. Cost: 800.00
Acer Aspire Time Line X AS183OT-3927
This is the best laptop for the student in your life. The battery life for the laptop is eight hours. Which will help with the note taking in his/her classes. It is also super thin (under one inch) and has an excellent HDTVED display. Acer is a strong affordable brand for the student. Cost: $500.00
Tip: you need to shop around and check the flyers for the best price. Stores are having sales on their computers. The laptop is probably the best for your student especially college bound students.
