Friday, May 20th, the Massena Red Raiders boy’s lacrosse team closed out their regular NAC season with a win over the Heuvelton Bulldogs, 22-7.
Before the game four seniors, Randy Seymour, Jimmy Pierce, J.P. Prashaw and Nick Moffitt, were honored for their hard work and dedication to the team.
Randy Seymour led the Raider attack by breaking through the Bulldog defense for seven goals and seven assists. Zach Hopps found the back of the net three times and added seven helpers, while Grayson Phillips contributed four assists. Tyler Simms netted three goals followed by Rhodes Tarbell and Jimmy Pierce with two goals each. J.P. Prashaw and Nick Moffitt each tallied a goal and a helper. Jordy Mitchell, Luke Bender and Sam Gerber chipped in a goal apiece for the Massena win.
The Bulldogs were led by Jon Kingsley with five goals. Mike Perry struck for a goal and two assists. Cody McCormick finished with a goal and an assist while Jim Brossoit tallied one assist.
Kyle Cooke turned aside five shots and Mike Lazore had three saves in shared net minding duty for Massena. Zach Montroy worked the Heuvelton crease for eleven saves.
The Raiders record stands at 8-8 overall and are set to open Section 10 Class C playoffs.
