Marijuana Bust

(CORNWALL, ON) – On April 25, 2011 at approximately 8:00pm, a Cornwall Regional Task Force (RTF) officer, conducting patrol in South Glengarry, located two vehicles parked in a fire lane at the rear of a service centre on Highway 401.

The officer launched an investigation and as a result, searched the Ford Windstar and 2004 Chevrolet Impala, seizing 102 pounds of marihuana with an estimated street value of $460,000. Both vehicles were seized as offence related property.

Charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking are:

Richard DIABO, 56 of Akwesasne and

Vladimir MARIN-NUNEZ, 48 of Montreal

Both men were held in custody to appear in Cornwall Court today.
