A Voice from the Eastern Door
Jaquar “Roarbotics” Team, grade 5 and grade 6 elementary students is one of eight teams nationwide to be invited to the Lego League World Festival to be held in St. Louis , Missouri on April 24-30th, 2011.
The team is comprised of Josh Miller, Payne Benedict, Kaynen Buckshot, Alexandria Brown, Cory Brasher, Cody Peets, Kaeliana Smoke, Nate Bressard and Blake Lazore. The team’s robotic instructor is Ms. Nicole Gladding.

FLLCeremonies
FLL Opening Ceremonies/America’s Center Ballroom on Thursday, April 28, 6-8pm
Located in the America’s Ballroom, the FLL Opening Ceremonies/Celebration is a unique event to welcome all FLL teams to the World Festival. Following the FLL Opening Ceremonies, the celebration gives FLL teams time to meet each other, mingle, and play while enjoying ice cream and team performances.
FLL Awards Ceremony
Saturday, April 30, 1:30pm
The FLL Awards Ceremony is in the America’s Ballroom. Spectators are welcome to attend the event on a first-come, first-seated basis.
The Champion’s Award winning team is invited to participate in the FIRST Championship Closing Ceremonies at 4pm on Saturday.
The FIRST Finale is held on Saturday April 30, 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Come enjoy the show.
Judging
Teams will have three (3) judging sessions: Core Values, Project, and Robot Design.
Formal judging sessions take place all day Thursday, April 28.
Robot Design Judging -There will be a competition table in each Robot Design Judging station for team use in explaining and showing their robot programming and construction.
Competition Rounds are scheduled for Friday, April 29, from 10:15 am – 4:00 pm.
Each team’s single best score from the Friday competition rounds will be used to determine the Robot Performance Winner.
