To the Akwesasne Community;

The Akwesasne Cancer Support Group is planning for the 4th Annual Walk/Run on April 29, 2012.

The support group started almost 5 years ago when a group of cancer survivors and others in the midst of their fight against this same disease, formed a strong circle of support for each other and for others affected in the community.

The support group has grown in their original goals, offering not only emotional support but also offering some financial support as well. With the cost of living raising yearly we have also increased our monetary support to those affected with cancer.

The Walk/Run is our major fundraiser and we are asking the community to participate in the walk or to volunteer their time and assist us on April 29, 2012.

Lets make 2012 our most successful Walk/Run event so we can continue supporting people in their battle against cancer.
