RE: Carbon Dioxide (C02) & Carbon Monoxide (CO)
In the MCA Department of Environment’s last article in the January 13, 2011 issue of Indian Time and in MCA Today a couple of errors were made. The biggest mistake was about carbon monoxide (CO) & carbon dioxide (CO2). The HAVFD noted that my reference to carbon dioxide was wrong. The HAVFD hands out free carbon monoxide (CO) detectors and not carbon dioxide (CO2) detectors. Carbon monoxide is the Silent Killer. They advised that residents should leave their homes immediately and do not open windows or doors. Do not air out your home; this would prevent them from getting accurate readings for CO.
In the second paragraph I wrote “Replacement accommodations…eating arraignments can get expensive”. It should have read eating arrangements.
We apologize for these errors and are thankful that this was pointed out to us in a timely fashion.
