Ruth Legacy age 98 years young from Burke was a recipient of an Emergency Food Box seen here being given by Bernice Scott 92 years young from Malone originally from Burke. Mrs. Scott acted as scout and guide through the Burke countryside, for Susan Schrader RSVP Director and Susan Scott, Office for the Aging Director, and offered nostalgic memories of growing up in the area.
Again this year the Office for the Aging was able to purchase and distribute 600 Emergency Food Boxes throughout Franklin County. Each box contains 14 meals which have a safe shelf life of 6 months to bring the recipients of the boxes through the wor...
