The Akwesasne Coalition for Community Empowerment hosted a holiday event last week for children and families. Community members were invited to the St. Regis Mohawk School where the coalition hosted an evening of holiday fun. The participants made holiday crafts and had festive snacks while also getting to visit with Santa Claus. The children posed for photos and told Santa what they wished for this year under the Christmas tree. The event was free to everyone who attended.
