Dee Hart wins fight with arm bar hold

Submitted by Kim Loran

Akwesasne mixed martial arts fighter Dee Hart competed this past weekend in the Cage Fight 6, which was held on Nov. 26 in Scranton, PA at the Icebox Sports Complex. Hart was matched up against 145 lb. Kenneth Nagle, (record of 2-1) from Slocum, PA.

At the bell Nagle came out somewhat aggressively, getting right in Hart’s face. Hart used his footwork and head movements to stay out of trouble and Nagle, swinging at the air, calmed down a bit. Hart then started pulling Nagle in with a few decent jabs, an uppercut and a right cross.  With the hit Nagle was desperate for the takedown and clinched Hart to the cage but Nagle couldn’t take Hart to the mat.  Hart realized that he was stronger than his opponent and “jump guarded” Nagle to start working for submission.  The moment they hit the mat Hart locked up and used an “arm bar” hold as Nagle tried to use every escape possible. With the hold, Hart’s move finally pops Nagle’s arm and Nagle taps out. The fight was a total time of 43 seconds.

This was Hart’s biggest fight yet after having two decision losses in a row.  Hart was fortunate enough to put together his fastest performance and got out of the fight “unscathed”.

Dee Hart would like to thank his sponsors for their generosity: The Brass Horse Lounge, Tarbell Management Group, Dudley King, Speedway Convenience, The Akwesasne Mohawk Casino, Keegans Tobacco and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe.

Hart’s teammate, Virgil Stone from CNYMMA, Watertown, also fought on the card, earning a decision victory in his fight that was 15 lbs above his weight class.

Dee Hart’s next fight will be a 5-round championship fight in Vermont on January 22, 2011.

Congratulations to Dee Hart on his recent win and good luck to you with your upcoming championship fight in January, from your family and friends! We’re all proud of your accomplishments!
