MASSENA – Ms. Robin Marie Stephenson, 47, of 38 Elm Street, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, October 27, 2010 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire, after a courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
Robin was born July 27, 1963 in Potsdam, the daughter of the Patrick Robert and Sandra Lee LaMay Stephenson. She graduated from Massena Central School in 1981 and received her B.A. degree from Tampa University in 1985.
Robin worked for many years with Cosco first in Orlando, Florida, then moving to Nashua, New Hampshire. She was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority Chapter #549 in Tampa. As a lifelong Cystic Fibrosis patient, she had received a quilt honoring her from Karen’s Climb of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Robin loved her cats, flower gardening, and traveling. She also had a great love of traveling with many of her greatest and memorable trips being to the Florida Keys.
Robin is survived by her mother and father, Sandra and Gary Donaldson of Massena; her sister, Carrie Donaldson and fiancé, Chad Lashua of Massena; her maternal grandfather, Harold LaMay of Knapps Station; her aunts and uncles, Tim and Janet LaMay of Massena; Robert Stephenson and Betty of Massena; Kay Stephenson of Atlanta; William Stephenson of Florida; many cousins, and dear friends.
She is predeceased by her father, Patrick in 1965; her grandmother, Mary LaMay, an grandparents, Bill and Doris Stephenson and Vern and Evelyn Donaldson.
Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where a funeral service celebrating Robin’s life will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM with Rev. Jeffery V. Aiosa, officiating. Burial will be held privately in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.
