Donna Edwards McEwan

Donna J. (Doonuts) Edwards McEwan, age 51, of Waterford NY; formerly of Akwesasne, passed away Mon. Sept. 6th suddenly at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Donna is survived by her loving husband John McEwan, her mother Margaret White Edwards of Tsi Snaihne, her father Sonny (Helen) Edwards of Hogansburg; her children Robert (Dawn) Edwards; Andrew (Melissa) Edwards; Dacoda Edwards (Steve); Ashley Edwards and her husband Dwayne; stepchildren Sandy, Tony & John McEwan; 11 grandchildren; loving sister to Terry Edwards (Burt) of Tsi Snaihne; Lonna (Oscar) Martinez of Boise, Idaho; Sharon Jacobs of Akwesasne; Roderick Dean Edwards of Tsi Snaihne; Kanekiiostha Edwards of Akwesasne; Renee Hoff of Cattaraugus, NY and step brother Rick Rafferty of Albany NY.

She was pre-deceased by a sister Michelle Lee in infancy; brothers James Bunky Edwards Jr. in 2008; and Robert Sawatis in 2009.

Donna worked for student loans for 3 years and NY State Thruway for 8 years.

She enjoyed watching ball games, soap operas; shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

Arrangements are with Phillip J. Brendese Funeral Home 133 Broad Street, Waterford NY.

Friends called starting Thurs. Sept. 9 until funeral services on Friday, September 19, 2010 with burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford NY.
