Boots graduates from drill sergeant school

On August 19, 2010, Staff Sgt Austin Boots of Akwesasne, graduated from the U.S. Army Drill Sergeant School. After 9 weeks of intense training he was awarded with this honor. Austin Boots, along with his wife Kayla, has been stationed at Fort Jackson, SC. He has served in the US Army since 2001 and has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was also awarded with the Bronze Star Medal, for his outstanding performance and expertise, which were seen as instrumental contributions to his unit’s overall success during their operations in Iraq. While deployed Boots also received a Commendation Award for Valor for his selfless actions during combat.

His recent graduation from Drill Sergeant School is just many of his accomplishments while serving the U.S. Army.
