The women had their turn n the box this weekend.
The Akwesasne Woman Warriors hosted a box lacrosse tournament this past weekend at the A’nowara’Kowa Arena, inviting other woman’s teams from Six Nations, Whitby, Toronto, Grand River and Peterborough to compete in the 2-day event.
The Girls Got Game 2010 tournament was Akwesasne’s turn to host the other female teams from around Ontario. The Akwesasne Woman Warriors, with a full bench of players, won tournament gold on Sunday, defeating the Whitby Rush 4-3 in overtime.
