The family of the late Faye Mitchell would like to express their sincere appreciation to all family, friends and neighbors who rushed to our sides and supported us with love and kindness throughout the illness and passing of our mother and wife, Faye.

Words cannot adequately express how grateful we are for the Akwesasne Home Care and Home Support Programs. Your high level of professionalism and care allowed us to keep Faye in the comfort of her home throughout her final months. For that, we are extremely grateful.

We were very comforted by the donations of food and supplies, beautiful floral arrangements, and cards. We were especially grateful for your hugs and kind words of support during this most difficult time.

Your generosity and support is a memory that is forever locked in our hearts.

Additionally, a benefit dance was held in Faye’s honour on May 21st at the American Legion. We were overwhelmed with the level of support that we received. A big thank you to all who donated baskets for our raffle table. A total of 55 baskets were received. Niawen to those individuals that donated prizes toward the live auction. Thank you to all individuals who attended the dance, purchased tickets, and bid on the auction items. Faye did manage to attend the event and was overwhelmed with the generosity of the community. We are so very lucky to live in the community of Akwesasne. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
