DRUG TRAFFICKING - James Buckshot, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on the 2nd of July, 2010. The Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation after receiving information of alleged drug trafficking. It is alleged that James Buckshot was in possession of a controlled substance, trafficking the substance and had possession of property obtained by crime. He was arrested and charged accordingly.  He was released to appear in court on the 23rd of September, 2010.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - Shayleen Lazore, 19, of Akwesasne, NY, was arrested on the 3rd of July, 2010. While on general patrol a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service conducted a traffic stop on Vincent Massey Drive. An investigation was conducted at which time the license plate of the vehicle was found to be stolen. It is alleged that Lazore provided the wrong date of birth to police and that she was found to be in possession of a controlled substance as well as a large sum of money. She was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, obstruct police, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.00. She was held for a bail hearing on the 05th of July, 2010.

            The other occupant of the motor vehicle, Tiffany Johnson, 21, of St. Regis, QC, was also arrested on the 3rd of July, 2010, for possession of stolen property and possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.00. She was held for a bail hearing on the 05th of July, 2010.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE

Dakota Benedict, 21, and Ganehtata Davey, 24, of St. Regis, QC were arrested on the 3rd of July, 2010. They were both bound by a Recognizance Order with the conditions of not to own a cell phone and to keep the peace and be of good behavior. It is alleged that while on general patrol a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service observed suspicious activity on Vincent Massey Drive. An investigation was conducted at which time it was found that they were in the possession of a cell phone. They were arrested and charged accordingly. They were held for bail hearing on the 05th of July, 2010.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE & PROBATION ORDER

Ronald Mitchell, 53, of Hogansburg, NY, was arrested on the 5th of July, 2010. He is bound by a Recognizance of Bail with the pertinent conditions of a curfew of 10:00 pm to 07:00 am, abstain from the consumption of alcohol and not to have care and control of a motor vehicle. He is also bound by a Probation Order with the relevant conditions of keep the peace and be of good behavior and abstain from alcohol. It is alleged that at approximately midnight on the 5th of July, 2010, the male attended the Canadian Boarder Services point of entry driving a motor vehicle. The male had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and an investigation was conducted. The male was arrested by the Canadian Boarder Services and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was held in custody until bail hearing later that day.
