Hello, the Salmon River Health Club is pleased to announce the return of the National Save a Life Tour campaign. In addition, we invite your newspaper to attend this event to share with your respect communities the powerful message that will be provided to the young adults at Salmon River.
Scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 30th from 9am until 2:30pm, in the High School Gym, the Save a Life tour is a high impact alcohol awareness program. This program utilizes a multi facet approach to educate the students of the dangers of drinking and driving. Through the use speakers and a virtual reality type simulator, the students will be able to experience first hand how driving under the influence is not safe. A major emphasis of this program will encourage young adults to “Take the Keys” away from drunk drivers.
The cost to bring this program to the Salmon River School District is $4,000. Through fund raising, Salmon River Health Club is supporting about one half of this cost. In addition, the Health Club is seeking other monetary support. We welcome individuals, school clubs, community groups and/or organizations to help support this endeavor.
On the day of this program, individual / organizations that have donated will be recognized for being the “Keys to Our Success”. Recognition will be given in the form of Gold, Silver and Brome Key supporters. Those who wish to donate $100 or more will be considered a Gold Key; $50 - $99 donations will be considered Silver Key; and $25 to $49 will be considered Brome supporters. All checks should be made payable to the Salmon River Health Club and may be sent to the following address:
