A Voice from the Eastern Door

Niawenkowa for your help!

January 15, 2010 at the Snye Recreation Centre the “Healing Our Grief: Looking Forward to Balance & Harmony” took place with many people in attendance. It was worth every bit of effort put forth to see such a good turnout. This community event could not have taken place without the initiative of people whose ideas led to the planning of the event. It was pulled together by many helping hands and minds. Niawenkowa for all those who helped in some way, attending the planning meeting, suggesting ideas, cooking a meal before the event (Hilda King, her daughter, Guzzy and the Snye Recreation Committee), setting up, cleaning, cooking corn bread, being a helper at the event for many grieving people, advertising, sharing the upcoming event with neighbors and friends and family, and for numerous other details that were completed. The efforts of everyone were well received and a lot of positive feedback has been received from those who attended. Again, Niawenkowa to Millie Cook, Sharon Cook, Emily Tarbell, Lois Terrance, Sakakohe Pembleton, Hilda King, Vivian Smoke, Angie Barnes, Martha Lickers, Nancy Ransom, Natasha Smoke-Santiago, Elvera Sargent, Harry Thompson, Della Adams, Harriet Boots. We also thank those who we may not have listed, we hope that you can forgive us as we do not want to hurt anyone’s feelings and do truly appreciate all the help and support in this effort.
