Notice to the Community

This is to inform the community that the following persons have applied for Akwesasne Membership:

Geri Lynn Sunday age 17, daughter of Lynn Sunday (Akwesasne) and Gerald Russell, a non-native;

Kaitlyn Nicole Graffis, age 17, daughter of Faith Tarbell Graffis (Akwesasne) and John Graffis, a non-native;

Jessica Diane Connors, age 17, daughter of Theresa Connors (Akwesasne) and Dennis Haskew, a non-native;

Alex Albina MarieJesmer, age 19, daughter of Susan White Jesmer (Akwesasne) and David Jesmer, a non-native;

Steven Alexander Francis, age 17, son of Catherine Francis Roundpoint and Steven Durocher, a non-native;

Casey Mackenzie Oakes, age 17, son of Damon Oakes (Akwesasne) and Carolynne Oakes, a non-native.

The following persons have applied for Akwesasne Membership and a Residency Permit.

Amanda Lynn Herne, age 21, daughter of Joseph Herne (Akwesasne) and Lynn Montour (Kahnawake);

Timothy Scott Oakes age 19, son of Damon Oakes (Akwesasne) and Carolynne Oakes, a non-native;

Julie (Johnson) Homer, age 41, daughter of the late Cecelia Johnson (Akwesasne) and Peter Homer (Oneida).

For information on any of the above individuals, please contact the Office of Vital Statistics. Community members have until Friday, February 5, 2010 to indicate whether they wish to make submissions regarding the above applicants. At a Hearing of the Akwesasne Membership Board on November 21, 2009, the Board granted full Akwesasne Membership to Kristy Lee Lauzon.
