NIKLAS ANGUS ADAMS-THOMPSON

AKWESASNE - Niklas Angus Adams-Thompson, the 3 week old infant son of Adam R. Thompson and Theresa Adams, peacefully passed away on Thursday evening, January 14, 2010 at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa. He was born Christmas Eve at Ottawa General Hospital.

He is survived by his parents, Adam and Theresa; by 3 brothers, Bo and Dylan Adams, and Kahonwase Thompson, all of Akwesasne; maternal grandparents, Angus and Veronica Adams, paternal grandmother, Dawn Thompson, paternal great grandmother, Dolores Thompson, all of Akwesasne; paternal great grandfather, John Oakes, St. Regis, Quebec paternal great great grandmother, Beatrice Jacobs, Akwesasne; his god parents, Kirsten Thompson and Bo Adams; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Angus Charles Oakes; maternal great grandparents, Michael and Mary Adams; and his paternal great grandmother, Isabelle Oakes, and a paternal great grandfather Clarence Thompson.

Friends called at the home of his grandparents, Angus and Veronica Adams, 1720 River Road, Akwesasne, Quebec, from Sunday until a Mass of Angels celebrated on Monday, January 18, 2010, at the St. Regis Catholic Church with Rev. George H. Belgarde, S.J., officiating. Burial will be in the spring at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Hogansburg. Arrangements are with the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena.
