Letter to the Editor,

We had to travel to Burlington, VT last Saturday to retrieve my niece at the airport.  The roads coming home were awful the whole way and we noticed that many stretches had not been plowed for a while.  After hours and hours on the road we finally hit home, the eastern edge of Akwesasne.   Holy cow, what a difference in road conditions!  Our road crew had certainly been keeping up with the snowfall and the roads were clear and sanded.  Their dedicated, hard work was noticed and appreciated as we finally got to our houses, safe and sound.  We just want to send a big Niawenkowa to those folks who keep our roads safe for all travelers.
