Santa’s Littlest Helper grows up with the Mountain of Toys

Santa’s littlest helper Logan Cree has been growing up with the Mountain of Toys drive for the past 4 years and on Dec. 6 he celebrated his 11th birthday with a Christmas carnival at Brass Horse.

His actual birthday is Dec. 8, and because Christmas is just around the corner, and Mr. Cree knows that there are children who do not have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas, he generously made the decision 4 years ago to keep 1 present and to donate all the rest to the Mountain of Toys drive.

“I like always feeling good about myself,” said the birthday boy Mr. Cree, “and helping people who are in need of stuff for Christmas.”

This year’s event has grown to be a community wide event with a carnival theme complete with cotton candy, popcorn, hotdogs and hamburgers, Cubby the Clown, a magician, and of course photos with Santa Claus. The Christmas carnival brought many community members together for a good cause and collected many great gifts for children this Christmas.

Along with his generous donation, Mr. Cree also volunteers his time at the main Akwesasne Basket Drive event which takes place on Dec. 11 at the HAVFD station 1 and the actual distribution on Dec. 14-16.
