Headstart kids have first school experience

The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Early Childhood Education Program welcomed students to their Headstart facility last week for the new school year.

The mostly 3-year-olds had mixed reactions of excitement and crying as they experienced their first school day.

Some students were excited about everything from the bus ride to lunchtime, others clung to their parents. By the second week the students were well-adjusted and enjoying their school days.
