- At his residence on Friday, August 28th, 2009. Louis Kenneth Thompson of 131 Point Road; age 82 years. Beloved husband of the late Audrey (Point) Thompson. Dear father of Darrell Thompson (Allyson) of Kahnawake, Vincent Thompson (Gina), Melvin Thompson (Margie), Barry Thompson (Brenda), Warren Thompson (Brittany), and Sheryl Thompson (Frankie) all of Cornwall Island. Predeceased by two sons, Roderick and Steven Clayton Thompson. Loving grandfather of Natasha, Nathan, Narissa, Markita, Chaira, Sydney, Kirby, Llona, Taryn, Sydneyrain, Trevin, Tanner, Tawnee, Makayla, Mackenzie, Matteas, Aspen, Kiana, Gardyn, and T.J. and great grand father of Drey, Naliya, Nya, Ryu, Bella, Angus, Isaiah, Quinton, and Payton. Dear son of the late of the late Basil Thompson and the late Hattie Sawatis Thompson. Dear brother of Christina McCourt (late Dan) of Moose Creek, Thomas Thompson (late Theresa) of Pilons Point, Evelyn Beebee (late Leonard of B.C and Richard Thompson(Charlotte) of Cornwall Island. Predeceased by five brothers, Mike Thompson (Mae), John Thompson (Rose), George Thompson, Joe Francis Thompson (late Christine) and Andrew Thompson (Rita) and by two sisters, Sarah Casey (Tom) and Mary Jocko (late Louis). Resting at the Thompson Memorial Wellness Centre, 191 Rita Lane, Cornwall Island from 8pm Sunday. Funeral Tuesday, September 1,2009 at the long house in Hogansburg N.Y. for traditional longhouse service at 10:30am. Interment long house Cemetery.
