Bounce-N-Bounce celebrates one year in business

Akwesasne’s Bounce-N-Bounce inflatable jump house business celebrated a year in business Saturday by holding a Customer Appreciation Day for the community. The free event displayed Bounce-N-Bounce’s inflatable rentals, and other entertainment was brought in for the children to enjoy throughout the day.

Toby Cook and Corina Oakes started the business last year from scratch, purchasing all new equipment and inflatables.

“I thought it would be a great entertainment for the kiddies and it really is, they enjoy it so much,” said Oakes.

The couple owns six inflatables including a Disney Princess house and a Spongebob Squarepants house. They also have an inflatable obstacle course and a waterslide, along with a clubhouse and king castle house.

“I would like to get a few more inflatables by next spring,” Oakes said.

Saturday’s celebration was held at the Cook and Oakes residence on Kawehno:ke’s west end. Ray’s Reptiles was on site to show children turtles and snakes and other creatures, Morgan the Magician performed tricks, and Angela and Andrew Bero provided snow cones.

“I thought the appreciation day went well,” said Oakes. “It was all for kids and they really had a lot of fun.”

Inflatables are available for rent any day of the week. Prices vary and renters are charged reasonable rates by the hour. To contact Oakes or Cook call 613-551-1069 (cell) or 613-937-4707 (home). Oakes can also be contacted via Facebook.
