Raymond Sicard died at the Janet MacDonell Pavilion, on Sunday, July 5, 2009. Husband by a former marriage of Marlene Thompson of Akwesasne. Dear father of Brandon Thompson and Laura Thompson both of Akwesasne. Dear step-father of Billy Joe Thompson (Natasha) of Cornwall. Cherished grandfather of Quinton Brandon Jr, Keighlan, Channel, and Kanya. Dear son of the late Albert Sicard and the late Laura (Proulx) Sicard. Dear brother of Rita Murray (Bill) of Kingston, Lorette Barnhart (Howard) of Brockville and Claudette Shanks (Doug) of Calgary. Predeceased by one brother, Gerry Secord. Dear son-in-law of Felicia Thompson of Akwesasne and the late Douglas Thompson. Former brother-in-law of Janice Herne (Harvey), Darlene Benedict (J.R), Rennee Thompson (Terry), Peggy Lazore (Abraham) and Bonnie Thompson all of Akwesasne. Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West starting Wednesday until his Funeral Friday, July 10, 2009 for Service in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 2pm. followed by cremation. The family will be in attendance from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm on Wednesday and Thursday and from noon until time of funeral on Friday. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
