Akwesasne Soaring Eagles Volleyball Club Updates!

•Spring Fever Coed Volleyball Tournament Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the Kana:takon School. There are two divisions: 12U division, $30.00, games start 11:00 a.m. and Adult coed, $60.00 games start at 1:00 p.m. Teams still can register at 613-933-6794. There will be raffles, concession with great food, Soaring Eagles souvenirs for sale and more.

•Also, now on sale is our Grand Raffle tickets, for $20.00 per ticket, 1st place winner $1,500.00, 2nd $1,000.00 3rd $500.00 and best ticket seller with the most sold wins $500.0 ); very player should have a book of raffle tickets to sell. If you don’t have raffle tickets ask your coach. Once sold hand in as soon as possible. The player who sold the most tickets will win $500.00.

•Spikes Babes 12U Inter-District: your final tournament is Sunday, March 29th at the Kana:takon school, 11:00 a.m. start. All players are required to attend.

•Now for sale is Soaring Eagles souvenirs. Your coach is taking orders for sweatshirt $50.00 and long sleeve t-shirts $25.00, order today, there is a limited amount.

•Soaring Eagles Executive meeting Tuesday, March 31st 5:00 p.m. at the Kawehnoke Recreation office.

•We only have a couple of games left before playoffs; we need all players to commit to attending these few games. Those who do show on a regular basis will have the opportunity of winning team & individual awards that will be given out at the end of the year Awards banquet.

•HIGH PERFORMANCE PLAYERS:

Just two weeks left to prepare for Ontario Provincial Championships, we need full commitment at all scheduled practices & your focus on Dry land training from now until departure for Championships.

•April 3rd & 4th Ontario Provincial Championships for 13U High Performance team.

•April 11, 12 & 13 Ontario Provincial Championships for 15U High Performance team.

•Saturday, April 4th is our BIG fundraiser day with the following events:

•Coed Eagle Cup Volleyball held at the Kana:takon school, entry fee per team is $250.00, over $3,000.00 in money prizes, individual awards, raffles & concession.

•Taco sale at the St. Regis Recreation, 10:00 – 3:00p.m. Tacos $10.00.

•Dance at the American Legion, Band Alter Ego starts at 9:00 p.m. Advance tickets $5.00 or $6.00 at the door.

•Saturday, April 18th/09 6:00 p.m. Awards & Banquet at the St. Regis Recreation. All Soaring Eagles players are free and family and friends costs is $15.00, which includes a traditional meal, viewing of recipients of awards, Special Guest speakers and to follow is Large Video screen music by 94.7 HITS music. Early Bird registration for Soaring Eagles next season will also take place during the Banquet.
