A Voice from the Eastern Door
On Friday, February 13th, Tsi Snaihne School staff and students participated in the Jump Rope for Heart campaign to raise money for the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Students collected pledges from family and friends throughout the weeks prior, and on Friday they skipped rope for an extended period of time.
A series of other events were also planned for that morning. The student population was divided into groups and they travelled throughout the school to enjoy a variety of activities. Mr. Peters’ grade 3 and 4 students were super leaders. Some stations included an obstacle course, bingo, arts & crafts, valentine sort & graph, and, of course, jumping rope.
The school raised almost $6000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Niawen Kowa to all who participated in this fun event.
