Flood Waters Cause Evacuation

FOUR FEET OF RAGING TORRENTS of the St. Regis River swept through Hogansburg Tuesday night leaving in its wake massive chunks of ice. CETA crews from the St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Council, Bombay Town crews and equipment, Akwesasne Police and Hogansburg Firemen all aided in the clean up operations Wednesday. Eight families had to be evacuated. (Emery photo)
