Steenhuis breaks all-time single-game point record

The Buffalo Bandits dominated the Toronto Rock, 25-10, in front of a sellout crowd of 18,690 at HSBC Arena on Saturday night. Mark Steenhuis broke a pair of records -- he recorded 17 points to beat John Grant’s single-game points record of 15, and notched 13 assists to break Derek Malawsky’s single-game assist record of 11 -- while Roger Vyse added six goals and John Tavares chipped in four.

Cory Bomberry scored three goals, and Sean Greenhalgh, Kevin Dostie and Tom Montour scored two apiece for the Bandits. Ken Montour got the win in goal.

Blaine Manning and Luke Wiles led Toronto with three goals apiece.

Buffalo improves to 6-1 with the win, while Toronto falls to 2-4.
