There were treasures for just about everyone at this past weekend’s Treasures of Christmas fundraiser at the St. Regis Recreation.
Community members and businesses donated large baskets of merchandise to the recreation and they were auctioned and raffled off to the lucky and the generous.
The event helped the recreation raise nearly $13,000. The funds are necessary to help the recreation remain open and also to host events throughout the year that are free to the public, like Halloween parties and yoga classes.
Throughout the weekend the community members attended Treasures of Christmas and had a number of things they could do, from eating homemade meat pies from the kitchen, to purchasing crafts from the number of vendors who set up at the recreation for the weekend.
On Sunday at 3 p.m., the winners of the raffled baskets were drawn, and the winning bidders of the auction baskets were announced.
