Notice to the Community

This is to inform the community that the following persons have applied for Akwesasne Membership.

Teala Gordon, age 17, daughter of Cindy Sherrow, Akwesasne and Stephen Gordon, a non-Indian.

Cheyenne Anderson, age 18, daughter of Lorraine White, Akwesasne.

Kanentakwas David, age 16, daughter of Brenda David, Akwesasne and Robert Ayotte, a non-Indian.

April Burns, age 22, daughter of Doris Burns, Akwesasne.

Community members have until Friday, December 12 to indicate whether they wish to make submissions regarding the above applicants.

Any member of the community can protest the Membership Board’s decision, a notice of protest must be directed to the Council of Elders within 30 days.
