Children’s Trivia winners

On behalf of Akwesasne Child and Family Services Community Support Unit we would like to congratulate the winners of the Children’s Trivia Contest held on November 20, 2008 in recognition of National Child Day. Each winning participant won a $20.00 gift certificate from Wal-Mart courtesy of A.C.F.S. There were 6 questions asked between the hours of 3-6pm. This was made possible through the generous staff at CKON, we would like to thank “Big Boy” for his time and cooperation in making this contest a success. Thank you also to the children of Akwesasne for participating in the contest even if you didn’t get through the phone lines you are all winners anyway.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the people who came out to participate in the Rock and Skate and making this event a success also, they are as follows: Wanda Thompson, Gina Jacobs, Ramona Obrien, Justin Cree, Linda Grant, Karen Smith, and Elaine Lazore, And our volunteers: Bailey Grant, Aubrey Phillips, Chazz Oakes and Lindsey Boland. We appreciate all your time and hard work in making this event a success for the youth of Akwesasne. A huge Niawen:kowa also to Ms. Jackie Jock and her wonderful staff at A’nowara’ko:wa Arena for all their help and efforts in making this event possible.
