Heartfelt Thanks

Members of the family of Ray Fadden wish to offer their heartfelt thanks for

the words of condolence expressed by the people of Akwesasne and elsewhere on his passing. At this sad time we are thankful for the cards, letters, emails, and phone calls plus the donations to his favorite charity. We also want to express our thanks for the wonderful and loving care he received at Iakhihsohtha. We celebrate his life of 98 years, but we will miss him, needless to say. During his time on earth he taught many people about the history and culture of the Haudenosaunee. One of his primary objectives was to instill pride in the young people at Akwesasne and those of other Native Nations. He also had a deep love of Nature...the animals, birds, trees, waters and all the rest. He celebrated the fact that Native traditions express thanksgiving and respect to the natural world. Those who knew him will carry his memory within, and those in the position to do so will carry on his good work.
