Krunch Lacrosse Club News

Over the past two weekends, the Krunch Lacrosse Club participated in three tournaments. At the Junior Varsity level the Krunch traveled to Hammonassett Beach in Connecticut to participate in Beach Blast 2008. The Krunch prevailed as tournament champions and qualified for the National Championships by outscoring their opponents 64-4. The “Dick’s Tournament of Champions”, the National Title Tournament will be held in Tampa Bay, Florida on December 29, 2008-January 5, 2009. Last Saturday the Modified Krunch team dominated the prestigious Turkey Shoot in Rochester, NY. Many of the biggest programs attend the Turkey Shoot. The Modified Krunch team has now brought home two tournament titles for the Akwesasne Community.

At the Varsity level on Sunday, the Krunch attended the Fall Classic Shootout at Golden Goal in Ft. Ann, NY. The Krunch played teams from New Jersey, Vermont and Long Island. This was another dominant display of Akwesasne Lacrosse as the Krunch once again outscored their opponents 39-8.

To all Krunch teams…Keep up the good work and Congratulations on all your accomplishments to date.

Coming up Nov. 7, the Varsity team will be in Rochester for their shot at the Turkey Shoot.
