Vagabond Theatre Production stars Nikaiataa Skidders

Akwesasne’s own Nikaiataa Skidders landed on stage at the Glen Building in Cornwall as one of the lead actors in an Agatha Christie murder mystery entitled “The Unexpected Guest”.

Nikaiataa graduated from the University of Vermont with a major in Theater and a minor in Film Studies. She was involved behind the scenes on several productions in her program at Vermont.

“The Unexpected Guest” is Nikaiataa’s first major role and her first production with Vagabond Theatre, a local community theatre in Cornwall that has been around for 25 years. Nikaiataa was truly at ease on stage with the seasoned actors. She is a very talented and brave young woman who is following her dreams into the world of theatre.

She stars as a young widow suspected of killing her husband, but the plot twists and turns have just about everyone suspected of the killing. And just when you think the case is solved, another twist reveals the truth.

The play will run again from Thursday-Saturday, October 23-25, starting at 8pm, at the Glen Building which is located behind the Si Miller Arena on Water Street in Cornwall. Ticket Prices are just $15.00 per person, refreshments are available and a door prize is drawn each night. Make sure to get a ticket and go see a wonderful play by talented actors.
