CANTON, NY - St. Lawrence University welcomes the following students as members of the class of 2012.
Each freshman will participate in St. Lawrence University’s innovative First-Year Program, an introduction to the liberal arts curriculum taught in residence halls by faculty teams. Clear writing and speaking skills are stressed, and careful advising is provided for all freshmen.
Some 616 freshmen, including students from 24 foreign countries, have joined the St. Lawrence student body. St. Lawrence, the oldest continuously degree-granting coeducational college in New York State, is a residential, liberal arts and sciences institution that encourages all faculty and students to participate in teaching and learning.
Alexandra J. Bero of Akwesasne; Bero graduated from Salmon River Central School in Fort Covington. She is the daughter of Dwight and Becky Bero.
Chelsea R. Francis of Hogansburg; Francis graduated from Salmon River Central School in Fort Covington. She is the daughter of John and Carolyn Francis.
