Police say Cornwall man stabbed father to death

The Cornwall Community Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Division has charged Jonathan MADSEN 41, of Brockville with murder following an investigation into a stabbing incident that took place shortly after 3 p.m. on the 11th of September, 2008.

It is alleged that the Madsen, a 41-year-old male, went to his 59-year-old father’s residence on Baldwin Ave in Cornwall and at one point stabbed the man. The victim was transported to the Cornwall Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police were called to the scene and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The deceased has been identified as Michael Madsen.  

Jonathan Madsen remains in custody and was scheduled to appear in court on September 12, 2008.
