Several women and girls from Akwesasne were recruited by the Midnight Confetti Bridal Boutique Sunday for a fashion show held at the Ramada Inn. A wedding show was hosted by the hotel featuring a variety of wedding-related vendors.
Midnight Confetti, owned by Andrew and Angela Bero, is located at the Peace Tree Trade Centre on Cornwall Island. Opening last year, the business has become popular amongst Akwesasne brides who want to utilize local resources.
Midnight Confetti organized a fashion show - complete with raised runway – at the bridal show. Models wore wedding gowns, bridesmaids’ dresses and two young girls – Ella Bero and Kyra Cree – showed off the popular flower girl dress styles.
In the showroom, vendors like photographers, invitation-makers, videographers, florists, diet consultants, and cake-makers provided information to future brides and grooms.
