A Voice from the Eastern Door
Indian Time is lucky to receive many visitors every week. Whether it’s a parent bringing in a new baby for a photograph or an elder who wants us to look at photos with him, our doors are always open and we love our visitors. We love them so much we want to share them with you. Our new “We Love Visitors” series is simply a way to share members of the community with you. So, don’t be scared to come and visit us (we’ll only photograph those willing) but if you have something special you want to show us, tell us, or share with our readers, stop in anytime.
Our offices are located in the village of St. Regis, on Hilltop Drive, in the same building as CKON 97.3 studios.
We hope to see you soon!
Indian Time received some especially interesting visitors Tuesday. Jim and Peggy Henson visited Akwesasne all the way from Arlington, Arizona. They came just to attend the Akwesasne Pow-wow and to learn about the place where Peggy’s family is from. Her father is from Akwesasne, though she has never lived here. Peggy and Jim are subscribers to Indian Time and said they read it front to back every single week – even the ads. Jim said his favorite section is the “Cultural Corner” and Peggy’s favorite is “The Diaper Diaries.” She knew all about Baby T and his weekly adventures. Thanks for being loyal readers and for taking the time to stop in and see us!
