Akwesasne Storm Midgets in playoffs

Best of luck and congratulations to the Akwesasne Storm Midget Lacrosse Team, who will be participating in the Midget “A” provincials which will be held at the Ontario Summer Games in Ottawa, Ontario August 14-16, 2008. 

This year the team was rated in the “A” division of lacrosse, playing the best “A” teams of Ontario. Over the past month the team has competed in the standard 2 qualifiers, which consists of 13 top teams of Ontario all trying to get to the final eight teams competing in the “A” provincials.  After much hard work and a great team effort, we are proud to announce our Akwesasne Midgets qualified and are able to move on and play amongst 8 top teams of Ontario.  For a few of our team members, this is the last time they would be competing at this strong level of “A” minor lacrosse, but also ending a great and long lasting memory of playing for the Akwesasne Minor Lacrosse system.
