The MSL regular season has come to an end with the Brampton Excelsiors placing first overall with a 14-3-1 record that will give them home court advantage throughout the 2008 Major Series Lacrosse Playoffs. The Peterborough Lakers who started the season off just 2-4, finished second overall with a 12-5-1 record.
The first round series will see the third place St. Regis Indians (11-7) take on the sixth place Six Nations Chiefs (5-12-1). In the other series the fourth place Brooklin Redmen (7-11) will go up against the fifth place K-W Kodiaks (7-11).

Six Nations defeats St. Regis 11-10 in GAME ONE OF MSL 1/4 FINALS
The #6 Six Nations Chiefs took a 1-0 series lead in the best 3-out-of-5 Major Series Lacrosse Quarter Finals as they defeated the #3 St. Regis Indians by the score of 11-10 Tuesday night at the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena.
Six Nations trailed 10-6 after two periods before adding five unanswered goals in the third period. Sid Smith and Cody Jacobs set up Craig Point for the game winner with 4:10 remaining in regulation.
Six Nations had a balanced offense led by Cory Bomberry (2G, 2A), Dean Hill (1G, 3A) and Cody Jacobs (1G, 3A) who all contributed with four points each. Delby Powless and Roger Vyse both added two goals and one assist while Craig Point rounded out the Chiefs leaders chipping in with two goals in the victory.
For St. Regis, Mark Steenhuis added two goals and three assists to lead all scorers with five points. John Tavares, the 2008 MSL Leading Scorer, added
three goals and one helper in the loss. Scoring singles were Andrew ‘Atha’ Lazore, Kevin Dostie, Brett Bucktooth, Steve Toll and Rob Van Bek.
Six Nations leads series 1-0.
