Notice to the Community

This is to inform the community that the following persons have applied for Akwesasne Membership.

Harmony Lazore, age 22, daughter of Lorida Lazore (Akwesasne).

Konwahentawi, age 19, daughter of Gilbert Terrance (Akwesasne) and Stacy Huff, (Delaware/Moravians of the Thames).

Tara Krigbaum, age 26, of the Seneca Nation, has applied for a Residency Permit.

Community members have until Friday, July 4, 2008 to indicate whether they wish to make submissions regarding the above applicants.

Aaron Brodner, age 23, son of Gail Brodner (Akwesasne) and Brian Brodner, a non-native.

Erich Crowley, age 22, son of Geraldine McDonald White (Akwesasne) and Allen Crowley, a non-native.

Windy Sabourin, age 27, daughter of Peter Square (Akwesasne) and Hilda Tyo, a non-native.

Cory Thomas, age 18, son of Micheal Barry Thomas (Akwesasne) and Cheryl Frazio, a non-native.

Community members have until Friday, July 11 to indicate whether they wish to make submissions regarding the above applicants.

At the Membership Board’s June 28 meeting, the Board approved membership for Monica Peters, Dakota Benedict, Kananankehneh Green and probationary membership for Francis Ingle.

Any member of the community can protest the Membership Board’s decision, a notice of protest must be directed to the Council of Elders within 30 days.
