If you own an ATV, here are some safety tips to ensure the security of your purchase: make sure that your ATV is insured against loss or theft. It is a minimal fee to pay to ensure that your ATV is replaced if it is stolen. Keep your ATV in your garage, with the keys locked in a lock box located in your house. A large chain wrapped around the back of the ATV and’ bolted to the ground in your garage or shed, will deter thieves since cutting the chain would be time consuming. Keep all tools locked away also, anything that you could think of to cut chains or start your ignition should be locked away in cabinets or in your house. If you have a professionally installed security system, use it! Teach everyone in your house to learn how to set it and make sure that it extends to your garage area. Keep your garage or shed well lit, burglars have a hard time working under the spotlight of your flood lights.
