A sign in front of Larry and Dana Leigh Thompson’s home on Route 37 calls for tribal members to boycott the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe’s upcoming election and to instead participate in a “community election.” The Thompsons and Melvin White, among others, are asking the community to elect a new council and to create a new government.
